No Impact Man: If rich people don’t buy stuff, how do poor people make a living?
The question is really posed well- and answered!- by No Impact Man. In case you hadn't guessed, I am a huge fan of his blog. He makes a really good point about the absolute absurdity of thinking people in the third world are benefiting from cash crops (not to say that there is NOT benefit however).
