Short Sleeves with Seed Stitch Details and Ruffles
Knit top down with raglan sleeves, this is a cute but easy short spring dress knits up quickly in both solid and multi color yarns. Seed stitch details add a delicate touch to the pretty ruffle trim and hems. Sizes 3 to 24 months. Perfect for spring and summer, or pair with leggings and a long sleeve shirt in the winter.

Yarn
280 (360, 450, 550, 600) yards/ 256 (330, 411, 503, 549) meters DK weight yarn
Materials
-US #4/3.5 mm and US #3/3.25 mm circular needles, or size to get gauge
- US #4/3.5 mm and US #3/3.25 mm double pointed needles (dpn’s), or size to get gauge
-Tapestry needle
-Needle and matching thread (to sew on buttons and button loops)
-Buttons- ½ inch or size of choice- 4 (4, 5, 5, 6) buttons
-Stitch markers (6)
-Stitch holder or waste yarn (2)
Gauge
6 st and 8 rows per inch in stockinette stitch on larger needles
Notes
Dress is knit back and forth from the top down with raglan style increasing for the sleeves. Sleeves are worked in the round on double pointed needles.
Sample knit with 2 skeins Foot Fetish DK by Gritty Knits (100% superwash wool; 50 grams/skein; 140 yards/128 meters) in Garcia.
Knit in a warmer yarn to make a short sleeved jacket. This pattern works well with multi-color yarns- the changing stitch count helps prevent pooling (all of one color in a yarn lining up at odd or undesirable intervals)
