Everyone should go pledge to be handmade (or at least local or eco-friendly) stuff for the holidays as much as they possibly can.

I completely agree! I spent hours searching Google and Etsy to find yarnmakers who produce their own yarn -- preferably local in as many areas as possible (wool from local sheep, dyeing locally, spinning locally).
ReplyDeleteI need to write up my results, but it was great fun to do the research. Knowing that my yarn comes from a real person who raised the sheep, or handdyed the skein, makes such a difference.
It's a whole new level of enjoyment.
